​Unphased by the end of the Easter break, Leighton Park School’s face shields hub and our dedicated partners in production have continued to make vital personal protective equipment (PPE) for the NHS and keyworkers in the healthcare sector.

Motivated by the incredible Captain Tom Moore and inspired by the dedication and selfless hard work shown by all those at the NHS, Isla has decided to come up with her own challenge whilst in lockdown to raise money for these truly amazing people.

St Swithun’s School, Winchester, has produced and delivered 50 face shields for frontline NHS staff at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, and a further 36 for the staff at Andover Health Centre and the linked ‘hot hub’.

Children always look up to their parents and want to get involved with what they are doing. So, when Jamie Dew, Head of DT at Highfield and Brookham Schools, said he was going to spend his Easter holidays making PPE visors his children couldn’t wait to help. Ava age 5 and Daxx age 2, who are both pupils at Highfield and Brookham Schools, enjoyed spending time in the DT suite helping their daddy make something that was going to help the amazing doctors and nurses.

Stroud School has taken seriously its need to contribute to the wider fight against coronavirus and has joined forced with its senior school, King Edward VI School (KES) in Southampton, to contribute to the community effort to support the NHS, responding to the demand for more Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

​Millfield and Millfield Prep students Freddie and Harry Beasley from Wells have helped their family set up a food delivery service that provides fresh fruit and vegetables to key workers and vulnerable self-isolators.
